Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
1. About fufu
These Terms of Service govern your use of the fufu mobile application and website (collectively, "the Service"), operated by Fufu Technologies B.V., a company registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("fufu", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use fufu.
2. The Service
fufu helps users identify whether food products and restaurant dishes are suitable for people with specific dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances.
fufu is an informational tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice. Ingredient and allergen information is sourced from product labels, public databases, and user-submitted data. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that the information is always complete, current, or free from error.
You must always verify allergen information independently — particularly in cases of severe allergy or anaphylaxis risk — and you should not rely solely on fufu to make food safety decisions.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@getfufu.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
4. Plans, payment and refunds
What we offer. fufu is a paid service. There is no free tier. You can buy a one-off seven-day trial pack, or a monthly or annual subscription, as shown on our pricing page. The trial pack is a single purchase and never renews on its own.
Who you are paying.Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller of our service. Paddle handles your payment, calculates and remits any tax due, and issues your invoice. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms.
Prices and tax. All prices shown exclude VAT and other applicable sales taxes. Tax is calculated and added at checkout based on your billing country, and appears on your invoice.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep access until then. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
Refunds.Because Paddle is the merchant of record, refunds are handled by Paddle. A refund may be granted at Paddle’s discretion where the request is made within 14 days of the transaction. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Your right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers). You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because fufu is digital content supplied immediately, you are asked at checkout to consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose this right once the service has been fully supplied. Where the right still applies, contact us or Paddle and we will honour it.
Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price increase affecting your plan, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service.

6. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, and technology within the Service — including the fufu name, logo, and application code — are owned by Fufu Technologies B.V. and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our written permission.
Data you input into fufu (household profiles, scan history) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.
7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, introduce new features, or modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide for a different forum.
Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@getfufu.app so we can try to resolve the matter amicably.
